We Don't Collect Your Data

CHI Next Bus does not collect, store, or share any personal information. However, we do use advertising services that collect certain data as described below.

What Stays on Your Device

• Location Data: Your location is used only to show nearby bus and L stops. It never leaves your device and is not stored or transmitted to us.
• Favorites: Your favorite stops are stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch using iCloud sync between your own devices. We never see or have access to this information.

Advertising

This app displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data including:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location information
• App interaction data
• Device and app performance information

AdMob uses this data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Advertising > Limit Ad Tracking on iOS).

• CTA API: The app fetches real-time bus and subway arrival information from the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). This is public transit data and does not include any of your personal information.
